Wedding Bells

Welcome to a brand new ANYTHING GOES challenge at DIGI CHOOSDAY.

On the Design Team we were given the theme ROMANCE, well what is more romantic than a Wedding.

For the last few months I have been working on Wedding stationery for my Brothers Wedding this Summer, so I thought I would use this Challenge to make the Wedding card.

The image is from Work & Play 9 - Love & Kisses.

I started by recolourising the paper to fit in with their Wedding colour theme, Purple is case you couldn't tell.

Then I cut a lovely arch from the Silhouette Store.

I used Copics to bring them to life and embellished with elements that will be used at the Wedding - Butterflies, Crystals and some Clay Roses I made and painted.  I covered the Veil and dress with clear Sparkle pen - but alas it never shows in Photos :(

Hopefully it will tie in nicely with the Stationery I have created for the day (heres a little peek).

Winter Wishes

Yay, it's Tuesday, so time for another fun ANYTHING GOES challenge at DIGI CHOOSDAY.

The DT were given a theme of 'Winter Wishes'.  I was all ready to make a card, when I realised I needed a little box to put some chocolates in for a last minute additional Christmas pressie for my son.

So after scouring my Silhouette library, I found a cute cardboard, no glue, mug.

I cut the base in white pearlescent card and assembled.

Once that was done I measured the sides and cut one of the papers from Octavia Frosted Winter to fit.

For the front facing panel, I merged the cute snowman from Winnie Winter Land and coloured him with Copics.

I cut the sentiment on my Silhouette and threaded onto a craft straw and to finish filled with chocolate balls.

I also wrapped in cellphone and tied with a bow, but stupidly forgot to get a pic.

Now the chocolates are all gone, my son has his Pokemon cards sitting in there, so double use.

Thank You

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my crafting friends and team mates, hope you all had a lovely Christmas, how fast did that go?

It is time for our first DIGI CHOOSDAY challenge of 2017.

As always it is an ANYTHING GOES challenge but the DT were given the theme 'Thank You'.

I chose to use some of the lovely stamps from two of the Stamp ME sets (Summertime & Daisy Days.

I started by masking off a triangle, then spraying with ink and also Gold Kuretake Tambi Gansai paint.

Once dry I stamped my image and coloured with Copics and also added some Bronze Stickles to the centre.

To finish I added a fussy cut Butterfly also coloured with Copics and a sentiment from the Silhouette Store.

Thanks for stopping by and look forward to seeing all your fabulous crafty makes this year.

Have a Drink

Just a quick post to share some more Coasters I have made, using the pre-coloured images from Polka Doodles Winnie Winter Land and Papers from Octavia Frosted Winter.

They started as plain wooden coasters from Home Bargains for £1.99

I sized my images in the Silhouette Studio (I use it to design most things these days, it is so versatile).

Cut them out and used regular PVA glue to stick the image on.

Once dry, I sanded the edges of the paper and sprayed with Spray and Sparkle Varnish 3 times, leaving to dry between each coat, so simple, but they will look really lovely on my table for Christmas Dinner.

Thanks for looking, have a Wonderful Christmas.

Baked with Love

It's time for the last Digi Choosday challenge of 2016,  but we will be back on the 1st Jan 2017 with our first challenge of the new year.

This week as always is ANYTHING GOES and I decided to make a final Christmas card using some of the sweet Gingers from Baked with Love.

The base of my card is from the Silhouette store, cut on pearlescent white card, with a gold underlay.

I added some gold washi tape with a sentiment and then set to baking my Gingers.

I printed them on Kraft and cut out on my Cameo, as I wanted to colour with pencils and thought the Kraft would make a great Gingerbread base colour and I love how bright the colours are on Kraft.

I used a mix of Prisma, lyra and SN Pencils.

Come and join our last challenge of the year and don't forget to grab todays discount code.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Crafty new year.

Polar Family

Welcome to a new ANYTHING GOES challenge at  Digi Choosday, this week the DT were asked to you a tag somewhere on our projects.

I guess what I have created is not strictly a tag, but this is my interpretation.

I have created a hanging Christmas Bauble using 'Polar Family' from Octavia Frosted Winter.

I cut around the image using a bauble shape, then coloured with Prima, Lyra and SN Pencils, adding a little texture paste to the snow, which I also covered with a little SN sparkle pen.

I embossed some pale blue card for a snowy background and then added some snowflake stickers.

Finally I added a hand tied organza ribbon.

Blooms of Ice

Earlier in the year I had the privilege of colouring up 'Snow Queen Blooms of Ice' by Aurora Wings, as part of the Showcase Team.

She has sat in my draw, waiting for me to be brave enough to make a project with her, I really didn't want to ruin the colouring by making a mess of her, so I decided to scan her and manipulate the colours to more ice blue tones and set about making a Winter/Christmas canvas.

I started by gluing the image to an A4 canvas, the pasting tissue paper around the edge.

Once dry I painted a couple of coats of Pearl white acrylic paint and sprinkled with glitter then left to dry.

It is really hard to see in the photos, but I added some blue, green and purple Kuretake Gansai water colour paint.

Finally adding embellishments, glitter and snowflakes.

I made the icicles by squeezing some regular ova glue on acetate then sprinkling with glitter, which I left to dry overnight.

I also added some chipboard letters and used a touch of liquid appliqué to create a snowy effect.

Thus is my second Aurora Wings seasonal canvas, I made an Autumn one a few months back and look forward to completing the seasons in the new year.

Thanks for looking :)
